First of all happy upcoming New Year everyone. Let me tell you, New Year is a massive celebration in Ukraine. I'd say it pretty much equivalent to Christmas here in Canada. In fact, we have our own Santa Clause called Ded Moroz (Grandpa Frost) and his granddaughter Snegurachka who are supposed to deliver us presents.
So from early on in the morning, I've been helping out my grandma in the kitchen to cook up a feast for tonight. Knowing that I wouldn't have much time to cook breakfast this morning, that my mom absolutely adores rye berries, and that my dad brought a bunch of bananas last night I have decided to make some delicious Banana Soft Serve Rye berries.
